Sugar Scrub and Free Printables!

If your making gifts this year, you may have been enticed, like me, to make homemade Sugar Scrubs.  I am hosting a Craft Brunch at my house this Saturday, and this will be one of the projects we will be creating.  I designed these cute tags below for the jars, so I thought I would share them with my readers as a FREE printable.  Here is my homemade recipe, Enjoy!!

{Sugar Scrub Recipe}
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar, turbinado sugar or oatmeal
1/3 cup Kosher salt
1/3 cup Sunflower oil
8-10 drops Essential oil for fragrance

Mix dry ingredients together, then add oil and essential oil and mix until mixture is thoroughly combined. You may add more or less oil depending on your preference.  Scrub fills a 1/2 pint jar.  This is my own recipe based on a combination of other sugar scrub recipes.

A few new journals....

I am gearing up to create a LOT of new journals - will hopefully go to some good homes and make great gifts for the holiday season!  Here's a few I just completed....

The French Traveler

Autumn Leaves

Bright Birds Whimsy

Still here!

This month has come and gone and it has been busy!  I donated a few items to our Hems for Hearts Charity Auction a few weeks ago, and one piece in particular got a lot of attention....

I just love our metal heart pieces.  We have done a couple more this month, one which has already found a good home and one waiting to be listed!  We are also in the process of designing a line of metal monograms, so stay tuned!

My son, Liam, turns TWO next week, so I've also been busily getting party preparations made.  Hubby and I have been designing some lines of printable parties {that stemmed from designing ours for Liam's party}, so that will be something new we will be offering in the near future.  Lots of exciting things are happening!  Thanks for being a part of this dream!

Blessed

Can I just say how wonderfully blessed I am?  God is already using this business for his Kingdom purposes and I am so thankful...More, Lord, MORE!

Thoughts to ponder....

Thought I would cross post this blog post today from Jones Design Company.  I have only been a follower for a little while, but this post is so true, like she wrote it just for me, and I love how open and honest she is about blogs.  May you find it encouraging...and maybe even convicting, like I did =)

We are all the apple of God's eye...every single one of us.

GRAND Opening Day!

I finally made it!  The pieces I've been working on are complete and are available online at my Etsy shop!  Whew...it's late, but it feels great to meet my deadline and get up and running.   Check back often as I already have a slew of new designs I am starting on for journals, canvases and metal art.  I uploaded some future design patterns here on the blog on the "Designs" page, so you can see what I'll be working on next.  Hubby is helping me design some awesome metal monograms as well, so stay tuned for those!

And for the drumroll please....here's the link to my shop!

Hope you enjoy and please feel free to leave me some feedback!

Listings...

It is late...I am working on getting things listed on Etsy....I now have two listings up...Yay!  Photographing all my work is a job in itself - Thanks to my wonderful hubby who has been my photographer!  I think some of my listings and photos still need a little tweaking...Any feedback or suggestions?  Oh, and you can get to my shop by clicking on my logo on the sidebar (just in case anyone was wondering).  Would love to hear what you think so far!

Busily, busily, busily working hard...

After returning from Summer Camp with the children from church last week, I am BUSILY preparing to host my own craft booth this Saturday night!  I am excited, but a little overwhelmed trying to get everything together.  Our neighborhood is hosting it's annual Night Out, and booths were free to residents.  So of course, I had to jump on the free advertising opportunity!  Supposedly over 1500 people have attended in past years, so hopefully we will have a great turnout despite the insanely hot weather we are having.

My plan is to have the Grand Opening of my Etsy shop a week from today - Thursday, August 11.  I will start listing items tomorrow and over the weekend, but the news blast won't be sent out until next week...So much to do!

Sneak Peek!

Finally got my crafting office-closet organized...

To be honest, I can't say I was actually organizing...more like staging, as I know my space will only be like this for the 10 minutes I am photographing it and not using it! Ha!  I have a great little space I work out of and I just love it....it's actually our 4' x 10" closet in our guest room.  The closet space is enormous and I knew when we moved in, that space was mine!   A couple years ago, we added the recycled desk my hubby picked up free from a job site and shelving from Ikea for storage.  It's just perfect for a crafting nook.

I decided to spruce up the space to how I would LOVE it to look all the time.  My husband was teasing me when he was watching me take pictures, he asked, "Are you going to take pictures of the other side of the closet?" (looking at the other side where I put everything that wouldn't fit didn't have a place on my desk or shelves)....Umm, lets just say I got my desk organized and that's all that counts, OK?  So, without further adue...Here is how I would LOVE my workspace to look all the time, plus a sneak peek at my first listings for my shop opening soon:
